    Default House outside painting... again

Due to an issue about 'faulty' paint (paint reaction with the cement render.. or cementreaction with the paint) ICI-Dulux have given me 10 gallons FREE of weathershield masonry CountyCream paint to re paint the outside of my house. Thing is I've gotta re do it all, only three years after I did it originally.

So this evening (after all the rain we've had today) I thought I'd make the most of the summery night and make a start on it, a bit every day and it'll be done before I know it........ just got to get up to those chimney stacks at some time lol

Masked a few windows up and had an hour painting.

first few pix from tonight to see me starting.. you can clearly see the colour difference between the County Cream colour, from the last time it was originally painted back in aug 2007.

    me!!!

    cut in..

part rolled, you see the colour change!

I'll update more pix if ppl don't mind over the next week or so as I do a bit more.

tonight I did the rear, taped up all the windows then thought I better coat it up, the top of the house was a bit windy this evening... went u slowly.. came down quickly!

you can see what i've done against the 'old' paint anyway

brought a section down at a time, losing the joining edge behind where the RWP will go.

    the back all done...

    arty shot...... sort of. lol

Looking good! I'm almost finished with mine...hopefully Tuesday.

I really like the contrast with the doors.

    tonight I've finished

this afternoon, I painted the chimney stacks.. via the roof!!!

    before...

    after...

    before...

    after...

some great view from the roof too..
    the garden

    my foot

you can just see the Vale of Belvoir in the distance

then this evening painted the garage door... think there might be a few bits in the paint, as it was a nearly empty tin lol

finished off going round the bottom of the house with black masonary paint, (on the plinth) no pix of that cus it was dark. also painted the side gate.. in th edark.. lit only by the light on the side of the house (8:40pm... and its now dark.. winters almost here )

    all done for B/Holiday weekend

    thanks for looking.
