Crazy, but not uncommon for newer construction waterfront buildings. I've sold some with $1500-$3000/month in fees, the amenities are overwhelming in some of them. The problem is that with so many short sales & foreclosures, these buildings are raising the maintenance fees with no warning or slapping everyone with an assessment.

I will be moving to Miami inthe next few months, hopefully deals and jobs will be there when I arrive.

Speaking of S Florida, how much do you guys know of the Cape Coral area. Now I know that the area has been hit by unemployment and what not, but seems like a lot of really great deals! I hear the SE and SW parts of Cape Coral are the desireable arears?? Also, what do u guys think of just buying up some lots in that area??
