Thread: Gates? Who has one?

Im designing my new house which is to start constuction in March. The lot has been purchased and most of the clearing has been done.

My asphalt driveway is almost 1/4 mile long and zigzags through some really great trees that Ive left up. It dawned on me last week that I may need to put up a gate because the driveway now looks like a road that goes somewhere and not just a private drive. The drive is wide enough to tow a wideload boat so it has the impression of being a regular street.

Ive done a ton of research and have figured out the opening systems, rams, emergency release, fire box, etc. Now I just wondering if anyone has any advice or pictures of the gates at their house to show so I can get some ideas.

The wall will be constructed of cinder block to a height of 5' with a rounded cap on it and no uprights. One long, smooth wall that will covered in a mastic stucco type material.
