Default Painting my home office (also my first time painting anything)

I decided to paint my home office, I've never painted a room before so I was a bit nervous as to what I need to get/do. Here's the room before:

I wanted to do an accent wall, my inspiration was the Fog Creek Software office (Fog Creek | Officeal), so here were the two colors I decided to go with:

So far I've finished the accent wall (the blue), turned out pretty good I think...can't wait to get the gray done this weekend:

I'll also be changing the outlets from the white to brushed aluminum or black. The fan will also be changed to something more modern.

    More to come!

    Looks good.
It's amazing what adding some color can do to a room.

Thanks! I'm also having a friend do a painting that will be semi-abstract of the hood of the Viper, should match the room nicely

Cool! My dad's office has like 4 or 5 different shades of green and a blackboard wall which makes the color scheme very interesting yet relaxing.

Get a fish tank and plants to add some life!! Good LUCK!
    No Doubt!

You probably know this, but since you said its your first paint job - I did a couple rooms with the two color palette you showed. Base coat is exactly right, covering the entire wall. Then you can use blue painters tape to tape off the line and paint your grey, pulling off the painter's tape as soon as you're done and before the paint dries (that way it doesn't peel)

Looks like a cool home office, like the dual monitors...

Here's the garage..I'll have to get some pics of the whole house sometime...which is nothing spectacular - just a regular house:
