My cousin is a very successful realtor in cape coral. PM me if you want her contact. She will not steer you wrong. She is also originally from up North,so can offer plenty of insight and networking. Most of her business comes from up north

If you think your are going to live in Florida for a long time, there are some great deals to be had with a purchase.

Ft Myers/Naples is getting a very large wave of foreclosures hitting the market, great time to buy; I've personally been thinking about relocating over there.

Forclosures are because a large number of people bought 2nd homes thinking they would go up in value only to have them drop and be upside down on the loan. I would rent for a year as you will find tons of neat areas to check out. We lucked out and bought in Naples on vanderbilt beach. We had no idea when we bought that we would love the area so much. But I know lots of people that bought and liked other areas once they got settled.

interesting sled, i was kind of thinking that but wasnt sure if something happened in the area or state or something like that which caused people to not be able to afford them anymore, thanks for the tip. we were thinking of renting first just for this reason to even make sure we liked the state period, i see you are in Ohio though so i assume the naples property is vacation spot? or do you split residency? also, i wonder how the car game is in florida, i own a transport company moving cars for dealers auctions, etc. i also do boats, rvs, trailers, anything really. i want to be sure i have at least some work from day one for my trucks.

You will have lots of business, they move a lot of cars down there. I can hook you up with several shops. I split my time down there. My business is located in Columbus but would rather be in Florida. I spend several weeks down there in the winter but love the summer too. It was actually 10 degrees cooler in July in naples than it was in Columbus on most days.
