This is a "production builder" but there is nothing not custom about it IMO. We had to pick everything and did a ton of design changes to the floor plan to meet our lifestyle. Fortunately my wife and I compliment each other very well in the house building/decorating world. This is round 2 for us. Round 1 was during our engagement with our current home. That was a test lol. We have a lot of furniture pieces we are taking with us. New stuff she can go to town on she has great taste and an eye for it.
This is a shot of the fireplace that got done today. Its not complete but you get the idea. It'll have a big stained mantle inside and a chunky cedar one outside. The pics make the firebox look small but its actually oversized. It's a really cool firebox that goes inside and out so you kinda kill 2 birds with one stone (I linked below if anyone is interested)

Congrats on the home. I know a few people from The Woodlands who go to school here at OU. Definitely a nice area.
Enjoy it in good health.@Chris_Clabo

This is a shot of the motor-court. You can see the porta-cocher where you drive thru. The golf-cart/storage garage is to the left. Main garage is to the right. 8 ft door on the main
Motorcourt.JPG
Pano shot of the Garage. Not the best but you get the idea. Glass block windows for natural light but maintain security. Door at the back goes out too outdoor shower. Should fit 4 cars and lots of toolboxes on the side and work corner. Angle makes it look weird small but in the words of my best friend "this garage is f'n huge"

Shots of the family room. These angles don't do the size justice. We bumped the back wall out 4.5 ft. It's now a great big great room. Beams will be stained real dark. Opens back up to kitchen on backside and breakfast room as well

Pano Shot of the kitchen. Crappy pic but you get the idea. Ivory cabinets with Dark inking. Big spot above range area is gonna have art piece. Fridge etc is around the corner across from planning desk. Backsplash is rough edge 1x2 bricked light stone with light granite. Floors here will be like rest of house. Dark Hickory.

For all the Wine-O's....Gonna have a serving bar area and a beverage/wine fridge with an iron gate

Gameroom/Card Room. Directly behind this is the "Children's Retreat" which has the "Kids study" aka a desk lol (love how they fancy up names in this thing...its a desk simple as that)

What toys will be put in that garage?

Congratulations! Let's hope the contractors finish as scheduled in time for your real blessing. I think we all want to see more of the garage and what might go in it lol.

What happened here with the beam sticking below the opening to the kitchen?

Everything else looks like it's coming out very nice though. Post more pics of the kitchen.Justin D
