    This house IS in La Jolla, and it IS where they filmed many parts of the movie for Iron Man. Most of the exterior in the movie is computer graphics. But the house is definitely real.

    They did not film anything at this La Jolla house. The CG house was overlaid on a bluff called Point Dume in Malibu that is a National Park. It's a location that nobody is allowed to build on. The interior of Tony Stark's house and garage were both built on a Los Angeles area sound stage. But that fact takes nothing away from this amazing house.
