    Default My House

Just recently moved into this house 2 years ago now. This house was a renovation/ addition project for my parents. My mom is an interior designer and she has always wanted to design a house from the ground up. The part directly above the garage was added on to the over 100 year old original house and the entire outside was completely redone. The idea was to keep most of the old wood and architecture from the old section and try and mimic that style in the new addition. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the old house on my computer but I can tell you that the improvement is phenomenal. When my parents first bought the property I had no idea it could possibly turn out as well as it did. Here's some photos let me know what you guys think.

The front of the house. To the far left is a two car garage/ shed.

A closer shot of the front of the house. As I said the part above the garage was an addition.

The back/ lakeside of the house in the winter

The mudroom/ entrance from the garage. Wine/ beer cellar is to the right of this picture. Don't have any photos of that though.

    The island in the kitchen.

Close up of the stove. Pantry room is just to the right of the fridge.

Full view of kitchen/ dining area.

    The main entrance.

That's all the photos I have on my computer right now. I'll try and scrounge up some more if I can. Sorry for the random selection of photos as well. Thought I would give all you warm climate people a glimpse of what its like living in Canada eh!

Beautiful! I love the stone flooring and the wall. The house has a great road presence as if "you've arrived" you must be very proud of it
