yup, only one way, start driving it you must complete a drive cycle. When ever a newer car i.e. 1996 and newer loses battery power a drive cycle must be done to reset all the monitor in the computer. So take her out for a drive do some intown stuff some freeway driving just make sure the car is driven normal don't go out and push it or it will take longer to reset the comperter

That is exactly what you have to do. The same thing happened to my 97 c4s. At least the fix is a fun one.

I have sat at lights in the past revving cars up in hopes that they will pass

Smog readiness is off. Need to drive a few cycles before smog.

    thanks for the replies guys,

I have drove 300 miles on the freeway and in town and the computer didnt reset, so I took it to the dealer to reprogram the computer to pass smog.

Did you pass yet? As someone stated, it's a sensor readiness code issue. Completing a drive cycle requires you to cycle the ignition several times as well. Driving 300 miles without shutting down and restarting the car won't achieve anything. Drive for 20 minutes, turn off the car, start again. You may have to do this 3-4 times, maybe 100. Only way to know if these sensors are in a state of readiness is to either 1) have access to a PIWIS, or 2) have the smog station test for the codes.
I had to disconnect my battery to remove my ECU. I have to pass smog as well and plan on logging a few short trips over the next couple of days before I get retested.
Now turbo-ized and armed to the teeth!
