Default Info: Boxsters on the cheap

So I've always been intrigued by the 986. I'm not sure why, but I am. Anyways, I've seen some cheap cars over the past few years. Mostly in the $5-9k range in good running condition (aside from the nuts that think a car with a dead engine is worth $9k). I really like my BMW 2002, but for some reason, I cannot stop thinking about a 986 for a winter car. Really, it will be fun, unless it cracks a head or the IMS fails, there really isn't too much that can go wrong, they are unique around here (really). . . and I have this vision of drifting in snow with the top down.

There is a car local that needs an engine for ~$3500 and is in rough shape, but I don't really want to do an engine swap to have a DD. Does anybody know of any Boxsters on the cheap that are available?

I saw one go for 7k out here in the sticks!

I will keep an eye out for you. Keep checking as no one is going to drive them in the snow.

And if you wanna swap that motor, im game

boxster is a great car to screw around in for < $10k. i had one for a few months & i enjoyed it more on the street (not highway) than my Turbo.

That's a good movie if you can rebuild for cheap. Personally if I bought a blown one, I would probably go with an EJ257 (STi) swap.
