    Default 997S or 997c4s

I keep going back on forth on which I should concentrate my search on...

the Pro list for the c4s is short - I *LOVE* the wide stance of the c4s. I know its not much wider on paper but visually there is a big difference. I don't necessarily need the AWD - I live in NYC but dont typically drive the toy when (if) it gets snowy/slushy - have an SUV for that.

the Con list - Its heavier and I read its less then ideal for the track. I plan to track the 997 3-4 times a yr give or take. I dont expect to modify it for the track (getting the S for the PASM which should be enough for me) I would be content to whip it around the track for fun in the blue group.

997S pro - better for the track and lighter, no AWD = simpler
    con - not HIPS

    - what would you do?

    thanks

Why not just get a 911 GTS? Sounds like that would be your ideal car! 2WD with a widebody

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the red stripe and wide hips of the 4S. But the idea of a raw, manual, RWD 997 S is just so tempting...quite a dilemma you have, sir.

I say go for the 4s its much better looking. Unless you're a serious track junkie it would be very hard for anyone to overdrive the c2s or the c4s. It may be a little heavier but if its primarily a street car you should think of its everyday use.... not its once-three times a year track outing.

We all know that small cars are good for us. But so is cod liver oil. And jogging- Jeremy Clarkson.
