Gemballa,
I am just wonder if we are dealing with a few youngsters who just love cars or people who are car enthusiast and know cars from a different angle and the performance point of view. People who are comparing this car on a boxster S frame with a swap 2007 Carrera 4s engine on a supercharger with a ferrari on a fiero need to really get to know cars from a different prospective than just looks and cosmetics. This car has about 40% original Gemballa and Carrera GT parts which is too long to list. Here are some of those few items ( AWI Exhaust system, Fully Gemballa Carbon fiber interior, original set of 4 Gemballa exhaust tips, Gemballa sterring wheel, original Carrera GT LED tail light, Magnesium HRE P40 rims and ....). A real car person should not judge the car from distance till they see it from close up and assess its performance. At least this is the way we do it in Europe. Again all your feedbacks are welcomed but need to me a bit professional. I will be bringing the car to SR in a few weeks and all you guys are more than welcome to join and see the car from close up.

I like the way you did it, and I like your point of view (as a fellow European). But you have to understand the other guys, in their (and my) eyes a replica is just a "wannabe". They're deffinately not just "youngster who just love cars", which I'm shure you'll see if you browse through the forums.
If it was up to me, I would've done a Gemballa-inspired car, but not one trying to sell itself as being a Mirage... But I like that you just did your own choice, because after all, it's still up to the car owner to do with his vehicle.
Nonetheless, I respect the effort you put in, and I hope you could post some more pics? Maybe from the engine bay,...?
Greets,
SG
PS: from where in Europe are you? Germany?Last edited by Suprageex; 03-08-2010 at 11:50 AM.

Gemballa,
Hi everyone,
I think we all have different views about the car. For me is mainly the performance and lastley the look and appearance. When and where you guys meet in SR? I will be coming down in about two weeks. Again thanks for all your comments.

Saw it person and thought it is ugly period. Does not do the real thing justice. Ultimately, you are trying to pull off a CGT Mirage, but there are so many poor body gaps, the paint runs, the fiberglass poorly done, and so on. Keep it a Boxster my good man and not let the desire of actually owning a real thing get you to do such a horrid thing to the Porsche brand.

still a great looking car regardless!
