Hats off to him! I have just about 27K miles and 5 years of 1000rwhp+ on my engine with it being at the 8000RPM redline more than idle with no issues.. It has a stock crank and stock turbo pistons/rings.. so yes, it is a reliable supercar in my opinion!

Here is a brief history video with a 19psi engine dyno and a 28psi wheel dyno:

Wow, that is impressive. I saw an '07 benz with 120k miles, it is amazing how much people drive.

illgt2 - my beef is with the non-modified parts the latest dilemna was crappy coolant hoses popping off due to old age - two $400 tow truck trips and $XXX to replace them.

    - chuck

Yea I had that happen once to my 996tt, sucked and for such a small/cheap fix!

But, my gt2(same motor) much more modified/driven harder and tons of track time and almost 3 years not 1 issue besides a shifter cable!

I guess all we can do is hope for the best of luck with our cars, one car can be beat to deah another a low mileage gem, and the low mile car can be the problematic one you just never know!

This 230K TT should be in the Porsche Museum in Germany when he's done with it!!!!! Keep it going buddy!!!! I'm thinking of picking up a 6TT and just turning the C4S in to a DD!

VR - all of your cars/projects are insane man.....still remember that clip on SuperCars Exposed with Tanner Foust where you "Owned" that modded 997 on the last straight. True definition of a sleeper man!!!
