RUF inspired 993 Porsche 911
''Luigi picked up a 1995 Porsche 911 last year, but kept it in storage for while anxiously waiting to drive it this summer. A bunch of modifications have been done on the 993, with more are still waiting to be installed. Since most have been RUF parts installed, Luigi decided to visit the facilities in Pfaffenhausen, Germany.
He was fortunate enough to meet the man himself, Alois Ruf, and get a personal full tour of the shop. As described by Luigi, the place was incredible and left him speechless. They do everything from selling spare parts, to restoring classics, to making cars from scratch. A CTR3 and a Porsche 901 were spotted there, but Luigi was not permitted to share those images online with us.
Before departing, Alois Ruf asked if there was anything else he could do for Luigi. Politely, he replied asking to get a photo with him, and if Alois could sign the RUF door sills he just bought there. Both wishes were granted. “Best. Day. Ever.”
Here is a small picture of items bought at the RUF headquarters in Pfaffenhausen. CTR2 rear bumper to complete the look, Ruf stainless door sills, a set of BBS LM wheels as a second set to switch up with the Ruf wheels, and finally some souvenirs from their gift shop.''
