They are definitely a nice car, there is one locally here in Edmonton in the same color scheme you had posted. I have always been a Porsche fan, but I would definitely find it hard to drop 245 k when there are a ton of other options out there for that money.

Haven't these cars been selling pretty well - Last I heard theywere hard to find/get new... If correct, isn't the fact that it is still at the dealership and not sold an indication that is is overpriced?

Its insane how much people will pay for cars. When the "New" Crysler 300C's were fresh in '04/'05, we were selling them for $10k-$15k over sticker price ALL DAY. People came in ready to buy, damn the price.
Someone will buy this at the asking. Even if they get the dealer down $10k thats still $40k in the dealers pocket.
I say that something is worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. Not a penny more or a penny less. If someone says $245k for this car, then its worth it to them at least.

Because it's a desirable car. Some people will pay anything to get their hands on a car they want. For instance, I was talking to an employee at Midwestern Auto Group in Columbus about a new Lamborghini Aventador they had in. He told me that the previous day, a man came in offering $1,000,000 over sticker to buy the car. They couldn't sell it because Lamborghini did not want it off the showroom floor until a certain date.

I am sure a collector will scoop this up but with the 991 GT3s (probably) around the corner I can't imagine why the average Porsche shopper would pick this up.
