I've actually driven the car on the street and track and this car is awesome! I was never a fan of the Boxter but have to say that this car is gorgeous. I would seriously consider buying one. On the track it's balanced and a blast to drive. The Pdk is also smoother than in the 991. I was chasing an instructor who was in a 991 and would pull away on the straights but I would catch him in the corners.

great car, much better looking than the previous generation! I saw it at this year's Geneva MotorShow and it looks just cool even in grey (there was only that color)....sound is cool too!!but, if I could buy one, I would go with the manual, not the PDK...

Looks the most distinguished of any Boxster yet. Read somewhere that this is because this is the first Boxster that they don't have to use the 911 doors for the production. I must say that I really like the look of all of the photos I have seen so far and cannot wait to see it in person. The biggest bummer about this car is that it will spend it's life purposefully handicapped by Porsche to keep from stepping on the toes of it's big brother. Nothing that TPC racing cannot help fix with an extra 100-200 horses.

Thanks all for the comments! Well, my first impressions when I saw this car on the web weren't so good. I'm a fan of the Boxster 987. But when I've seen the Boxster featured in the video, my impressions completely changed. It is a well designed car, a well balanced one, you can say that the handling can't be so bad just taking a look at it! Definitely a great car!

It's a fantastic car. Great driver. If you think your 911 runs on rails, and you've never driven a Boxster, you should drive one... home. They are superb.
There are Carreras, and there is everything else.

Thank you for the comments! I was just thinking about a thing: which car could be faster on track, a Boxster S or a 991 Carrera (non S)? I think the Boxster would win the race but....what's your idea?
