What is the best 500-600 dollar camera?
So looking to get a present for myself and I am looking for the best bang for my buck has to have 1080p video and like 12 or more mp

Nikon D3100 is what i use, Got mine for around $630. Has 1080p and 14mp

I had a T2i and it was a great camera.

T2i, or T3i if you can. Canon's DSLRs are generally much better than Nikon's when it comes to video. But Nikon's seem to perform better in low light.
Also Megapixels aren't that important anymore imho.

For video get the T3i. Just bought myself one and the flip out screen is perfect for videos. It enables you to take low/high shots and then tilt the screen so you can see what your shooting. Check out the sample videos on youtube. Not sure what the prices are like where you live but mine cost me around $859 AUD.

I just got a 60d for $1g plus $500 in accessories. Don't know if its worth it but will find out on the vacation coming up. I was told the best bang for buck is a T3i but I was just getting a deal on the 60D I couldn't pass up.
