D3100 out of focus?
I am new to this DSLR thing so I may be missing something...
I picked up the D3100 a last month and played with it a few times (did not change any of the settings). I took a few close up pictures of some of my products and they came out great. I have not changed anything and just picked up the camera (since I put it down a few weeks ago) and it seems that it will not autofocus anymore. I have autofocus on and pictures seems like they are coming out blurry.
Any ideas? I even reset all the settings to be sure and still the images are fuzzy.Cause in the end you can't take anything with you. The only thing you can do is leave a story.

Hmmm, heres my suggestions... make sure the lens is secured fully? have a friend with another Nikon D-SLR try your lens and if it comes out blurry contact Nikon and tell them you received a defected lens, if its not the lens contact Nikon and tell them your camera is defected.
the only reason your camera could be out of focus= well cameras don't focus, lenses do... make sure the lens is switched to autofocus (which you said you did) open lens, look inside for anything peculiar, clean glass, both sides.
hope i helped, sorry to hear this.

Thanks for the response L4BORGH1NI. Picked it up at B&H Photo. I searched Google before and people were saying make sure the autofocus is on (which it is). I will have to take it over this week because I want to bring it with me to Boston this weekend.
Thanks againCause in the end you can't take anything with you. The only thing you can do is leave a story.

oh, another note. When you go to B&H and you tell them what happened, and they try to pull some typical SH!T with you like "i dont see what your talking about" say "i have looked all over the internet and many people have had this problem, it is infact a defect" if they still don't give in, bluff like " i will take legal actions against you " haha, just make sure you are prepared for the situation

depends, could be settings, steadiness, or indeed AF inconsistency..
