How do I get those rolling shots? " Getting closer while the camera stays still? ".

i remember seeing a behind the scenes video posted here of wagenwerks doing the gold rush video.
they had some guys on rollerblades, a camera guy on a skateboard and they pulled it with a rope.
I dont know if that will do the effect of that jetta video. just throwing it out there.

Steady cam + roller blades/skateboard/ect. Or steady cam + running full speed... Steady cams are amazingly fun to play with.

when ever i see them filming they are walking, watch the vid on 54 and 55 seconds you see them filming in the reflection of the car !

Another rather simple and not that expensive method with be the "GlideCam".
I'm getting into videography myself and as soon as I got some more practice, I'll be getting the GlideCam HD 4000. Here are some of the videos, which used the GlideCam setup. I think the last video is the most impressive one, since the guy only used one lens and no additional gimmicks and the video cam out brilliant. We've also discussed some of the aspects in my thread over here:
