    Default how do i reduce file size of a photo without losing quality?

    i am trying to do some avatars and they come out great but exceed the size limits even at the lowest quality i can get them to and at that quality they look like a$$...

    any suggestions?

    for canon dslr users like myself, we use DPP, the included software with the camera, works great

    do you use mac or pc?

    I am assuming that you are using photoshop to create the graphics at he pixel size necessary. Its easy just instead of save do a save for web by raising a lowering the quality from 0 to 100 you can see that the file size change. lower that number until the file is between 19 to 21k.
    Done.
