Default Any video experience with 7D/5DmkII?

I'm looking to pick up a new crash cam, wondering if anyone has experience with the new Canon 7D, specifically the video post-production side. Also, any insight into remote operation?

I suppose this question could also apply to the 5dmkII..

okay so here's the dealio now that I am a 5d mk II owner

-codec and overall workflow is a little rough with h264 but picture quality is strong
-remote focus and aperture is pretty easy via USB port, remote zoom will have to be manually done for now.. not sure the EF mount even supports zoom control

    Jad,

check out the 50 and 85 f/1.2 lenses. the video quality is incredible on my 5d2 with these lenses and the noise levels drop a huge amount.

the 7D has a higher bitrate for the video which will reduce some of the roughness of the footage in post...more info per frame.

I own a 5D2 and have worked on a couple projects including music videos which used 5D2 or 7D (most recently a new "dashboard confessional" video).

Sounds awesome about working on the music video.

I've always wanted to get into video work more but don't know a whole lot about it. With all these new HD video recording cameras coming out I might have to look into it!
    I take photos. Check it!
