Default Time lapse of 8 cord of wood

Just made this... my cousin and his friend cut 8 cord of wood yesterday and made a time lapse contraption out of an old digital camera hooked up to an analog clock with some contacts and wire to take a picture every 15 seconds for 8 hours.

This is the result. I just did a quick compile and edit...

That is really neat. I'm guessing you burn all that in 1 winter?
A world where medical advances allow us to live forever is a terrifying thought...

Well it's my friend's house, and it should last them about a year and a half.

    Alex...
I didn't actually film it. My cousin took a really old digital camera, took it all apart and soldered some leads to the shutter switch and then hooked the leads up to a regular analog clock with the seconds hand as the "switch" for the timer. Had some wire coming off of the second hand and had 4 sets of contacts on the clock (every 15 seconds). The wires would brush against the contacts and complete a circuit thus taking the picture. The camera and clock were then put on a tripod on top of his pickup truck. There were over 1700 pictures in all and I then compiled them for him and added some music. Came out pretty damn good for our first time lapse.

Up in our neck of the woods we improvise and make our own technology with good ole yankee ingenuity.

We are probably going to make some more soon.... We want to make some driving on some twisty roads for 2 hours and such.

It's cool for those involved I guess as it is fun to see 8 hours worth of work in 2 minutes.
