Default Any Nikon D90 users getting errors?

Wondering if anyone is getting a "F----" error? I am getting that when I use my Tamron 28-75 and Sigma 80-400, but nothing when using the Nikon 18-200. Remounting the lens seems to fix it temporary.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that means the aperture cannot be controlled meaning the lens is mounted wrong. It has happened very few times to me, but taking the lens off and securely mounting it again should fix the problem.

i believe i've gotten this error before also when not locking the aperture on a manual/auto aperture lens (like the 1.4D 50mm)...

if it is not locked, and is manually moved at some point, the camera goes nuts (not really, just get the F---- error).

(and i'm sure you know, but just to clarify, the aperture lock only locks out manual operation, auto or "electronically manual" operation works as normal).
