So I finally pulled the trigger and bought my first DSLR. Picked up a new Nikon D90 along with a Tamron 28-300mm XR VC lens. Unfortunately I have not been able to mess with it yet, because the weather in Chicago has been crap till today. Hoping to get out this weekend to try it out.

Thank you all for your help in making my decision. Everyone was very helpful with there opinions and input.

Will post pics when the rain blows out of town and the bright hot thing in the sky that I haven't seen in month reappears.
