Hey thanks for looking. For me, the hard part is knowing which shots to take to get the best coverage and also getting the exposure and focus right on each shot. The program does the leg work on the stitching, assuming you have taken good shots and it is able to read the control points (you can also do this manually in the control points editor for instances where it can't auto-detect them - I did this once on a dark 4-shot pano, it took about 6 hours to stitch by hand - and I decided I would probably never do that again lol). It will also compensate for exposure changes to a certain degree but when there are big differences in exposure you should compensate for that as best you can when taking the shots initially - the program can only do so much.
Regarding the people moving around, if you notice closely there are some heads and bodies cut off. heh. Thanks again for taking a look.raѕιdel ѕlιĸa / 5D Mark III gripped / 1Ds Mark III / 5D gripped / 7D gripped / 17-40 4.0L / 24-70 2.8L / 100 2.8L / 200 2.8L / 70-300 DO / Sigma 50 1.4 / Sony RX-100 / GF-1 + 20 1.7

just a little update.

Chicago River, Sept 06 2008, 2:20AM.
28 shots, full-size is 65 megapixels.

going home, just got in a cab

20-shot pano taken during a period of 4 minutes, hand-held in -1° F weather (with a -21° wind chill). It was the coldest I've ever shot in; towards the end the shutter release button (I am assuming it was the button and not something else) started getting stuck and it was firing off successively until the buffer ran out. Annoying.
Not sure what the sky is doing but that's how it looked.
The full-size is around 85 megapixels. I wanted a purplish tinge.
used this setting for all the shots:
