Who's From Portland?
As much as I love Arizona and the heat, my wife hates it. So, next spring before it gets hot again, we'll be making a move to Portland. Just looking for some feedback from the people that live there on the pros and cons of the city.
Everything I've seen on TV and read about it sounds great and I'm getting more and more excited about it as time gets closer.
Thanks in advance.

Just moved here myself, its a pretty laid back town, very chill and lots of brew and good food.

Lived here my whole life, and while there are definitely some things I don't like (bikers, politics and the drivers), I couldn't see myself living anywhere else full time other than maybe the bay area. If you're into food and booze, it's pretty tough to find a more consistant city. I think it's harder to find a bad place to eat than it is a great one. Then there's the food carts (CNN rank pdx as number 1 in world), as well as all the microbrew and small batch distrilleries. Plus you're an hour away from the beach in one direction, and an hour away from the mountain in the opposite. I have literally skied in morning and surfed in the afternoon before.
