    Default Standing Mile in WA?

    Getting myself to Florida and/or Texas is a monumental task. Is there anyplace here in WA that a standing mile event could be held? I realize there are 1000 things that would have to go into actually doing it, but I am curious if there is even a location. I would assume the minimum requirement would be a 1 1/2 miles long runway.

    Did a touch more research. Looks like the only active airfields in WA state that could handle something like this, an event needing 7900 feet of paved runway are Sea-tac, Boeing Field, Payne Field, Moses Lake Int, McChord AFB, Fairchild AFB, Spokane Int, and Whidbey Island Naval. Pasco and Yakima airports being a couple hundred feet short.
    So I guess the question is, are their any that aren't on this list:
    Airports in Washington, WA
    Are their other stretches of pavement that would work?

    Or do what SSC did and close down a highway in Eastern Washington when they didn't record breaking high speed run.
