Thread: Quick trip to the beach in our '72 Westy = Family > anything else.

I am an old aircooled guy at heart so I have a couple treasures I take out once in awhile laying around the shop. Today we took a quick day trip down to Oceanside and Pacific City in our 1972 3 owner VW Westfalia bus.


At the TOP of Oceanside, the views from up here are amazing and I ever win the lotto this is where I'll be.

Thanks guys, After the last couple of years I have had it is nice to get back to basics sometimes and truly enjoy the experience. For whatever reason aircooled VW's do that for me, my family loves them and we all get to spend great time together. I think Jennifer and I are going to take advantage of the kids being gone for spring break and take the Westy on a road trip down towards San Fran on the 101, will definitely post up some trip pics.

My sister made that for my first apartment when I was 17, it has hung in the garage entry of every home I have had since and we put it in the Westy for a pic we were sending my sis and it just stuck, gets lots of comments.

Did you ever know your my hero? I have been feeling the same way, that prompted my move to Florida.

Pun, you are going to be jealous my friend! between PDX and San Fran there are 6 places that have been featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.....and yes...we will be visiting them all!
