Thread: PNW 2010 Car Shows?

Over the last couple of years I noticed that Seattle really gets the short end of the stick when it comes to car shows. I can't remember the last we had a Hot Import Nights, and I don't think we have ever had a Dub show.
I would really like to enter my car in some shows this coming year. Last year I won in class at the Kirkland Car Show and the All Pontiac Show.
What else is there? What big shows are on tap for us in the PNW?

Anyone?

NWAS usually throws a carshow at the Red Square on the UW Campus, as we did last year we will announce it as the dates become closer (Spring 2010).

I don't think you'll see anything in the greater Seattle area aside from smaller shows like Car Toys and PDXmas Bash down in Portland. Vancouver usually puts on a show or two of decent size, but then you have to deal with customs etc.

I know most teams in the area are planning on traveling to at least Cali for a few shows.

I guess I need to join a team and head to Cali then. I go to Vancouver all the time. I do a ton of work in Eastern Europe for a Vancouver based company. I am an expert at getting accross the border.

So the Red Square Charity Show is coming up. Anything else in the near future? My car should be all set for the season when I get back on Easter. Looking forward to some shows.

We don't have a lot of big arena shows in Seattle, it's true. Most of the promotion companies that used to run them have either died out (lack of sponsors) or been discouraged by low turnouts. That's our fault as the tuner community for not supporting them more, I suppose.

I publish a twitter feed of all the events I know about, with advance notice and reminders for events of all types around the NW (not trying to promote myself here, just trying to keep the NW involved).

That's all I know about so far outside of the Hotrod circuit (which is great about planning their whole season and publishing dates in advance).
