Hi Verone,
I just got back from a Seattle vacation. Here is what I did:
- Duck tour (Fun - google it)
- Pike's Place Market - Crowded, but cool to see....but an FYI, the famous Pike's Place seafood company no longer throws fish due to a PETA complaint.
- Space Needle
- Museum of Flight (Didn't have time to do this but it looked interesting)
- TONS of hiking...Seattle has amazing trails...and mountains all around it. I hiked up Snow Lake, again which you can find on Google...awesome!
- Go see a Mariner's Baseball game...the stadium is in great condition and the weather is perfect
- Salmon locks
- Elliot Bay Book Company - Old book store that was a really nice place to kill time.
- Last....maybe plan a day trip to Vancouver BC...if you have a rental car.

Whatever you do, plan on taking an umbrella :-) Been years since I was out there, but in addition to Zachs suggestions:
- a day trip (or more) to check out mount Ranier
- ferry to one of the islands for a picnic
- there are dozens of wineries located in Seattle (Washington state Pinot FTW!)
Edit: and WTF, why does PETA care about a bunch of dead fish?
Edit again: and there also lots of micro breweries to visitLast edited by Bacchus; 08-12-2009 at 02:39 PM.

Zach that is about the best list of things to do there and Mt Ranier is cool. I'm stationed there at Ft Lewis and every thing he said I agree with but the weather sucks there. its summer time so it not to bad but i dunno I'm deployed right now lol

V, the suggestions offered have been pretty good. Not sure who said what to whom, but I was just there two weeks ago and they still throw fish at PPM. I can also recommend good hotels to stay at if you want to be downtown in the thick of it or go outside the city for a little spa relaxation.
You could also check out EMP (Experience Music Project) which is Paul Allen's Music Museum. Meet up with the C&C crew on a Saturday morning (if the weather is still nice). Underground Tour of Seattle which shows you how the existing city was basically built upon the ruins of the old city (cool).
I could come up with more...or you could just call me when you're in town and I'll play tour guide :-)

i thought Quinns was an excellent brewpub - great burgers and great beer
the Chihuly museumin Tacoma is definitely worth checking out, as well as the many Chihuly glass sculptures spread around the city

I'm not sure how long you'll be in town, but visiting the Olympic Peninsula region is always peaceful and relaxing. Or, Ocean Shores is a fun little get away as well. You can drive your car on the beach. =)
