AMISH COUNTRY! (CRUISE/MEET) Sept. 25th: Lancaster, PA
Hey all, due to great interest regionally, (specifically from the Mid-Atlantic group) here is the thread for the cruise/meet up in Amish Country...
Plain and Fancy Farm - Family Style Restaurant - Lancaster County, PA
Details that are set:
UPDATE:: SUNDAY SOUNDS LIKE IT WILL WORK FOR EVERYONE... SO LETS GO WITH THAT.
DATE CHANGED TO SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 25th! same meet time: 1:30 pm
Date: SUNDAY September 25th, 2011
Time: 1:30 (lets plan for lunch since it will allow people to cruise up after cars and coffee events from all areas. ex: cruise up from Vienna, VA is just under 2 hours and 45 minutes, which means if the group leaves cars and coffee at 10 and get gas, they can easily arrive by 1 as long as traffic cooperates)
Cost: anyone is welcome to buy my food lol just kidding. Obviously, no charge for the event, just money for food and gas...
Info: Just a bunch of car enthusiasts looking for a great home-style meal, this said, no restrictions on make/model, if you have a car and are looking for a good time, come out!
REGISTRATION: ADD YOUR NAME TO THE LIST IF YOU ARE A DEFINITE, AND IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, BUT ARENT POSITIVE, ADD YOUR NAME AND MENTION THAT... IT WILL HELP WITH PLANNING MAINLY (reservation/count to tell the restaurant and parking anywhere we go)
Details open to suggestions:
I think an ice cream run after to a local shop would be a ton of fun... the only thing I need to look into yet is parking, any other options will be considered though... maybe even a Hershey Park run if people are up for a nice drive once were all togehter as a group... I know the area very well and could take a scenic route to Chocolate World! where I know they have not only ample parking, but also have the freshest Hershey's Chocolate you can buy... (I can get anyone an employee discount=winning)
also I was planning on getting a reservation if people want but know they can accomidate us all, just possibly not all at once, unless I know atleast 20 people are committed, which I think we will get easily...all the same it will an enjoyable experience wether we eat seperately as walk-ins, or together as a small party.
I will start a list of those that have expressed interest and/or know they can make it...
***EVERYONE IS WELCOME... the more the better!***
THANKS!!!

HA! This is so random; I was just in Amish Country in Ohio. Wish I had seen this earlier, because I have been on a road trip the past three weeks but I already have commitments about 6 hours away. My gf and I were just discussing how awesome it would be to ride in an Amish buggy.
