    Default OT: this storm

i know some of the guys/gals in this section live in NYC and surrounding area's, what are you gonna do for this storm coming?

they're saying that tunnels into/out of the city could get flooded, and as i think all of know NYC is only a few ft above sea level.

if you guys have to evacuate, where are you going?

I always thought of manhattan as pretty hilly actually(not sea level)

In anycase, I suspect people are making a big deal over a windy rain storm here in the northeast... but regardless, be safe

the issue comes from the fact that manhatten is 5ft above sea level, not much. the way the storm is coming it'll idle over NYC harbor forcing water outwards(into the city) thus possibly flooding tunnels.

yes there are parts of manhatten that are hilly, the highest point is 409ft.
