Default Route 23 Weekly Northern NJ Tri-State Meet for European Car Owners!

Welcome to the official -TRI-DUBBIN'- club discussion thread for our weekly Northern NJ Tri-State meet for European car owners!
This weekly meet was organized based on the need for a Northern NJ Tri-State location for European car owners.
There are too many good looking European cars throughout Northern NJ and we needed a place to call home on a weekly basis.

Check out our club photo album updated on a monthly basis: http://public.fotki.com/JacobsRC/tri-dubbin/
Our official club website is: http://www.tridubbin.com

There is a very large parking lot at the -Lowes of Butler on Route 23 North- which intersects with Morse Ave in Butler, NJ.
For GPS users, please enter the address: 1210 Route 23 North, Butler, NJ 07405

This massive parking lot always has spots open at the edge of the property running along Route 23 North.
This location provides ample lighting and great highway traffic to show off our rides and possibly attract a larger crowd.
As of 2011, we received approval from Lowes management and the towns of Butler and Kinnelon (boroughs and police departments) to use this parking lot for our weekly meets. This area of the Lowes parking lot has a walkway that connects to the Applebee’s and Wendy's parking lot for us to get food or hang out at the picnic tables nearby.

    WEEKLY MEETS
Officially, our weekly meets started in May of 2011 and will continue on Wednesday nights between 6:30pm - 10:00pm through the summer. The largest volume of cars show around 7:30pm. We received approval to meet here on a weekly basis with the guarantee that we would not abuse these privileges. We are in contact with the police and will call them at anytime to remove unwanted participants. Our meet is simple, pull up, park and hang out then cruise out of this parking lot. We promised Lowes and the town that we would not leave our garbage, blast music, drive fast through the parking lot or use our cars in an unsafe manner. If you can't deal, don't come. We absolutely do not tolerate burnouts, racing or immature drivers.

    WEATHER RULE
If it's not raining in the area at 5:30pm we're on at 6:30pm. This gives everyone time to prepare or travel to the meet location.

    PHOTO SHOOT
Please see the “DubRun” event below for our official cruise & photo / video shoot for the year.
Feel free to bring your camera equipment to help cover the event.

    TRI-DUBBIN' T-SHIRTS & STICKERS
We currently have club t-shirts for sale to all members who attend the weekly meet.
We also have assorted Tri-Dubbin’ club stickers readily available at our weekly meets for $3 per sticker. Please see Ryan.

The weather is not looking so hot for tomorrow night’s meet. I know we had a lot of new people that planned on coming out.
Butler, NJ 07405 Hourly Weather Forecast - AccuWeather.com

If it’s not raining by 6pm people will show at the meet but the weather looks spotty for the rest of the night.
Let’s focus on coming out strong for next week’s meet. Remember, the largest volume of cars show around 7:30pm and on.
Weather permitting next Wednesday, some of the sponsors from our DubRun event (Google search: DubRun) may be at the meet!

    Default DubRun Assistance

    GUYS, PLEASE READ THIS POST...

I've been working hard all day, everyday to keep our weekly meets and online threads running clean and smooth.
Now I've been busting my hump to bring this DubRun event to the Tr-State European community.

Since this DubRun event is presented by our club Tri-Dubbin' I need a favor from everyone that attends the weekly meets, posts here online and feels gratitude towards the club.

In order to have the DubRun even at High Point State Park (legitimately with reserved parking and park assistance) we need to purchase event insurance to cover ourselves and the state of NJ for any possibly liability. I have already paid out of pocket for the High Point State Park event permit so that you all can have the photo/video location of our event.

I'm asking everyone to please make donations (in any amount you can afford over the next week) so that we may purchase event insurance as a club for the full day of the cruise on Sunday, October 23rd.

Since we are not an incorporated club, we don't have membership dues to cover the costs of the club stickers, flyers, printing, event insurance and whatever other costs we may incur in the future. In addition we haven't charged any entrance fees for the cruise or entrance to High Point State Park. Please chip in a few bucks to help the overall event.

Please make a donation for this event by paypal to RJacobs1@gmail.com
In the comments, please list your username.

    Thanks ahead of time!

The weather is looking good for our weekly Wednesday night Tri-Dubbin’ Euro meet tomorrow!
Butler, NJ 07405 Hourly Weather Forecast - AccuWeather.com

We’re focusing on having all cars at the meet by 7:30pm so we are all there at the same time.
From activity on the various threads, we have some new Audi’s, BMW’s, Porsche’s, Lambo’s and VW’s that will be there.
We cancelled last week due to rain so we should have a great turnout this week.

It’s a very laid back meet so feel free to walk around and make friends.
We have Applebee’s and Wendy’s next door which you can get to through the walkway between each parking lot.
The Lowes address is 1210 Route 23 North, Butler, NJ 07405

Some of our “DubRun” sponsors may be coming out to meet our members as well, hopefully they bring their shop cars to show off.
