Sat or Sun morning C&C at my place right outside of Princeton
EDIT: Based on peoples input I've decided on Sunday Aug 28th at 11pm as our first meet.
Hi guys/gals. Its really been awhile since i've been here. I just opened up a restaurant/lounge in montgomery nj which is right outside of princeton. its 18,000 sqft and the parking lot holds approx 250 cars. I drive a 08 Granturismo and used to love going to meets meeting people. Now with the place open I don't have the time so I figure i'd try to host one. Not sure how many people are from the area but i put 2 days that i thought would be great. if interested
One option would be Saturday at 12pm. The plus is that its a Sat and most people would be available and since we're not open for lunch the whole lot is open to you guys. The con is that since we are closed food or drinks would not be available.
The other option would be Sunday morning at an open time prob around 10-11am. The plus is that Sunday is usually an open day. You can have brunch at my place after or just chill at the bar. Parking lot for the most part would be open as well. There really isn't a con for this day.
The address to the restaurant is 1736 Rt 206 South, Montgomery, NJ 08558. Or go to tuskrestaurant.com for more details
If its of interest i'll start a list on who's in. thx!Last edited by topaz330; 08-18-2011 at 09:34 PM.

I live in Cali and wouldn't be able to make it either way (so my opinion doesn't really count lol) but I'm curious as to why your restuarant or any for that matter would be closed on a Saturday during lunch? I would think that would be a "peak" time for you, but I'm not in the restaurant business either so I don't have the slighest clue.
I don't know which is better getting paid or getting laid, all I know is while I'm doing one the others getting away.

from princeton to the jersey shore is only about 45mins, most people make a saturday into sunday trip out of it. that'd b my guess. also from my experience in restraunts, saturday lunches are the slowest day next to tuesday

Saturdays are typically slow for lunch, i guess people usually have things to do during the day and go out for dinner and drinks at night.
I set it up for Sunday Aug 29th. I figured more people can make it and it'll be more enjoyable as you can relax, have a nice glass of mimosa and see beautiful cars.

i just moved to the area last year. used to go to your place for happy hour when it was something else about 15 years ago. i'd imagine it's changed since then.

one heads up - the montgomery police station is nearby, so don't do anything that will get you noticed on 206. it's a quiet town and the cops are looking for reasons to pull people over (in my experience).

I go down to Princeton all the time for work. I will be down there the rest of this week. Not sure if I will make it back on Sunday from the shore but I will try. Maybe I will stop in sometime this week to have dinner.

lol, well I decided to cancel sundays meet and move it to the following sun sept 4th. Going to start at 8am to 11pm. Gives people time to chill and it won't kill the day for people...

Just wanted to thank Chris for the great food and drinks. I stopped by Tusk on Wed to grab dinner. When I pulled in I couldn't believe how big the place and parking lot was. There was parking on both sides of the restaurant and behind it then another parking lot behing the back parking area. I could pull my huge truck and trailer in there if I wanted to.
When I walked in the restaurant there is a huge bar area and loads of seating. We asked to sit outside and the deck was huge with plenty of space between each table. Not like most places where you are sitting so close to each other and can hear everything the other table is saying.
I ordered a few drinks
and Tuna for my dinner and then some delicious dessert. I travel every week for work and always take pics of my food and post them on facebook so I will post a few here. The food and service was great. I am going to try and make it down next weekend for the event.
