Default New member here and experience with M.A.C

    Hello all,

Not really new but a non frequent visitor. My name is Nore and I’ve been a member of L4P since last May. I joined but never really searched or posted until I saw a L4P Facebook blog that lured me to the site and eventually to the Northeast section. I’m mostly posting/viewing on e90post.com

I’d like become active on this forum as well. So I’ll begin with a introduction of my car and my story.

I drove a plain, simple, nothing outrageous BMW 335i coupe. White with red interior, fully loaded. Nothing extravagant. However, that all changed when I got into a minor accident which ultimately led me to discover M.A.C and what they have done to transform from ordinary to EXTRAordinary .

The car stayed dinged up for a month or so until I could find a reputable shop to work on it. It was difficult and hard since a lot of bodyshops are basically thinking of their best interests (profits, using cheap parts, aftermarket replicas, etc etc) and not the best interests of the client. I consulted with many people and even my service advisor at which I get the car serviced from on which shop they would recommend. Majority recommended various bodyshops but a few friends and the dealership recommended M.A.C. After much thought and being told that M.A.C would be the best for the job I eventually chose them and gave them a ring.

After my initial contact with Joe, I got a tour of the shop. Many of you already probably know this already but M.A.C’s facility is almost like an auto assembling plant. The latest and greatest repair machinery, painting booths, frame straightening, offices, etc etc. To say the least, I was very impressed with their professionalism and the cleanliness of the shop overall. The lobby feels like you’re in a museum. But most importantly, the staff at M.A.C are great. Not a dull moment whenever I go visit there.

Below are a few pictures of my build and a list of what I got done…

    1) Vorsteiner V-35 vented hood, painted white with the CF on the vents exposed.

    2) Custom fitted OEM M3 side skirts. These were not plug and play. Had to be cut, fitted and painted.

    3) M-tech bumpers, both front and rear. Custom painted splitters up front.

    4) 3M clear bra of the entire front bumper and 12 inches up the hood.

    5) H&R Springs and installation.

    6) Painted/smoked out taillights. Not tinted with film but actually sprayed over.

    7) Painted CSL wheels gloss black with a white TA ring.

After the build was complete, the car was completely transformed. I got complements left and right, people were WOW’ed by this build. Everyone loved it and I got nothing but praises over it. Below are some professional shot’s of the car after a the build.. A Vorsteiner CSL trunk was also added later down the line…

In May of 2010, I decided I needed another “M.A.C attack” right before the Summer started. I turned to M.A.C again for help. This time, I had the roof, window trim, mirrors painted gloss black. Again, M.A.C failed to disappoint. The end result was amazing. The paint on the parts were done perfectly. No signs of overspray or the paint running anywhere! Excellent job and done in a professional manner.

Overall, my experience with Joe and Derek and the entire staff over at M.A.C has been nothing but extraordinary and pleasant. I recommend them to each and every person I know looking for a repair shop. From as simple as painting a bumper all the way to custom building an entire car. M.A.C got you covered for all your automotive restyling needs.

I’d also like to mention that M.A.C not only takes care of it’s clients but also gives back to the community by hosting car shows where all the proceeds goto charity. No other bodyshop I can think of actually goes out of their way, take out time, and does this.

Summer of 2011 is approaching pretty quickly this year and I’m going down to M.A.C for another custom build. I won’t mention what it is but I’m once again going to raise the bar and attempt something that rarely done on an e92.

I hope you guys enjoyed the pics and please don’t hesitate to contact me if anyone has any questions about my car. I highly recommend Joe, Derek, Jon and the entire M.A.C staff for all your automotive related endeavors.
