Going to NYC in May. Any Suggestions?
Hey everyone,
A good friend of mine is getting married in mid May and I've been researching hotels near the Financial District (wedding's in Chinatown)
Anyway, this will by my first time in the big apple; does anyone have any recommendations on a hotel? attractions? restaurants?
Thanks,
Brian

What kind of stuff are you going to be doing? Sight seeing or partying?
The list could be totally different. Also really depends on if your coming alone or if you have a wife/gf.Steve

Financial District is pretty abandoned at night and boring. Stay north of Chinatown in the village area soho, tribeca.

what do you guys know about the Millenium Hilton, The Nolitan, or New York Marriot Downtown?
edit:
I've got an itchy trigger finger, so I pulled the Millenium.
I'm thinking of exploring the boroughs from a helicopter ride...Last edited by bprime; 03-18-2011 at 09:06 AM.

Nobu 57 or on Hudson st. Babbo, del posto, scarpetta, - all amazing places just make reservations 15-30 days in advance

You should definitly make a point to stop in and grab a drink at the 4 seasons hotel. Pretty cool place. Cambel apt is also a neat place to grab a drink. Just ate at felidia last night and it was out of control. If I give anymore information I would have to charge you ;-) enjoy!

If that's the one by the WTC, there's a good chicken spot near Chamber St. called Bon Chon.
