Default Exotics Rally - Drifting ?

Well, I guess the cat is out of the bag on twitter, so I may as well update you guys on some special things happening within Exotics Rally.

Through the contacts of T-Minus I had the opportunity to have lunch with Ryan Tuerck & Tony Angelo, who are 2 professional top tiered pro-drifters. They are sponsored by Red Bull & Mobil 1. Some of you who may of been on todays run met Ryan who was riding with me in my GTR.

Well after having lunch the other day I learned a ton about the drifting scene, and honestly I was very skeptical about this sport, and at one point considered it infantile. Well I now have a new respect for the sport and since lunch on friday I decided to purchase a drift car to learn the skill.

Today with the assistance of Ryan & T-Minus I purchased a 1993 Nissan 240sx Turbocharged car to make into a pure drift car to learn the sport.

I figured, heck I've auto crossed, road raced, oval raced, open wheel raced, kart raced, 1/4 mile raced, 1 mile & 2 mile raced, street raced. So now I embark on this new venture and I will take all of you along with me for the ride, this is the first of a few cars that I will be acquiring for ER.

I am looking forward to the first drifting event for ER, so far I have the drag day setup for Englishtown, NJ on 6/11, 5-10pm.

I am going to discuss with them getting the road course to do a drifting clinic so those who are interested can learn how to drift and if I am going to learn, I and you should all want to learn from the BEST.

So again, thank you to Ryan Tuerck & T-Minus for getting this venture into drifting a kick start!

Once the car is done with the mods I will post up some pics.

Here are a few video's of Ryan Tuerck for your enjoyment:

Congrats on the purchase, thats the best platform to learn on. As you see with Lyron's Soarer it's fun to get sideways. I'm sure Ryan has mentioned D-UP Drift Series, you should come out to the April 10th Shakedown event at Monticello. There will be runs for beginners up to the tandem guys. Check out www.d-updrifting.com and that day we will be having a car show too..

Seth, first off, thanks for the compliments and support.

Ryan and I are psyched that you have an open ear to learn drifting, and overall, are eager to absorb all you can about new driving techniques and the sport itself.

2011 is gonna be a HUGE year for the progression of ER with the events you have planned and we're behind you all the way!
