New Englanders - upcoming Supercar Saturday event 5/01 - McLaren F1 + many Ferraris
Okay - it is somewhat rare to get advanced warning on a chance to see a McLaren F1 so when I hear about one I always try to let people know. Here is your heads up on what should be a great event.

The McLaren F1 that will be in attendance is this silver road car - chassis #068. It is the very same car I got a ride in back in 2005, though now with a new owner who is also just as gracious and affable. A real gearhead too!
Here are some excellent pics of the car taken by friends of mine this past summer in Monterey:
For anyone in the area of Ferrari of New England this weekend, I'd suggest making plans to stop by and check it out along with all the other great cars that should be attending.
Here is their website: Ferrari of New England
Here's a Google Maps LINK for driving directions.
It almost goes without saying that if you do go, please bring a camera.

Thanks man! Too bad it isn't closer to NJ...

I think I will go. Pictures will be taken, and I think I know the new owner. Pretty sure I spoke with him at an event last week

Thanks for the heads up for this event!!!* A dream is fictional, a goal is possible*

This F1 is owned by Dan Watkins, a name some will certainly know, especially if they subscribe to Automobile Magazine. Last year Dan and some friends drove the F1, two Ferraris and the Bertone Mantide across the USA from NYC to Monterey, CA for the Pebble Beach Concours in a trip dubbed "Supercars Across America".
You can read the article here: Automobile Magazine - Supercars Across America
"4643 miles, 8 days, 4 supercars, and zero tickets."

See an video interview with Dan during a stop in St Louis here.

I haven't had a chance to meet him, but we've exchanged messages a few times. Great guy and just the sort of person I prefer to own an F1!

Saw some very nice cars today!!! However despite a McLaren F1 being there, the LP670-4 SV from Rhode Island seemed to attract the most attention!!! I didn't stay too long, but snapped some pictures while I was there. By no means are they at the level as many on here, but take a look:

Having some trouble uploading them from iPhoto, so check them out on my flicker for now...* A dream is fictional, a goal is possible*

Great - glad you got to see the car.

I'll agree that for a Lamborghini that LP670-SV does look pretty good. The F1 would have looked better outside basking in the sun too.
Thanks for the pics!
