i make exactly 545 on a dyno dynamics machine. which on a dynojet dyno would be about 580 rwhp. and yes my C6 z06 has an ls7 motor. the LS6 that should be in your car is the same one found in the c5 z06 which we all know can make really good power too. and aside from being a bit portly (in comparison) you essentially have a 4 door vette with a half shaft issue. those are fun and great cars and since it does have the LS6 it can make gobs of power and torque!

be careful with the fiberglass insulating tape...

it collects water and will lead to rust outs.
yes, it is counterintuitive since you would think the heat would boil all of it off but it happens still.

also, i noticed from your wrapping that it wasnt as even as it should be...
not a personal knock, its pretty much impossible to get an even/correct coverage with tape anyway.

the problem with that is certain areas of the header will cool faster than others, leading to cracks and weakness in general.

also, i doubt that it was wrapped to optimize scavenging and EGV.

just my 2 cents, professional coating is more expensive but worth it in the long run...
    plus it looks better

vaild point..the headers are made of 304 stainless steel... i have done a good amount of research on the topic and have not found once case of header wrap leading to a negative effect on stainless steel headers.. other than surface rust but Mild steel headers..yes

all stainless steel does undergo oxidation but only really surface pitting/rusting. I scrubbed, acetoned and painted my headers with VHT header paint and wraps with DEI silicone paint that sheds water.. $60 vs $400-450 shipped to jett hot in NC..

are there any local ceramic coaters?
