Drag Racing tonight at Island Dragway - April 23rd
I know I should have posted this sooner, but it's been a busy week...Myself and a few friends are hitting the dragstrip tonight at Island Dragway in Great Meadows, NJ.
Welcome to IslandDragway.com
$25 to race. They have rental helmets for $5 if you don't have one. I'll be there in the 560, there should be some Ferrari's, Porsches, Z06s, and a couple Mustangs with me, too...
Hope some of you guys can make it!

Damn Mike. I wish you posted up earlier. I would have loved to bring a crew of my own and come meet you guys.
Hope to see the 560 run hard.

Sorry...I should have posted earlier....Best run of the night for me was a 11.7 @ 123. Had a bunch of 11.9's, a few 12.0s, and a 12.1. All at around 119-122.
I tried all kinds of launching methods...Rolling it on, mashing it, did a couple 'thrust modes'....Mashing it seemed to be the best. Thrust mode spun the tires for 100 feet.

Wow!! Those are solid numbers. 560 launch control is great. What kind of 60ft did it pull?
Only the BEST will happen to you.

You'll see my car in this vid as it passes by...Also another Lambo vs a 360.
My 60' times were in the 1.9's to 2.2's. Launch control didn't work so well...It just hosed the tires. I did my best run just laying into the throttle gradually, but quickly, from the start.

I can't belive you took those cars to island to race. I just about tore off my catch pan on the return road there.
Do you guys every go to e-town or maple grove?

Island wasn't that bad...Even the road to get to the track was better than it was a couple years ago....They just repaved the entire track (after the 200' concrete starting pad), and the surface is MINT!!
E-town blows...Three passes and you're done - F them. I got 9 passes on Friday at Island without trying, and leaving at 9pm. Could have gotten 25 if we wanted.
Maple Grove is wayyy too far away from us.
