Caravan to The Monticello Racetrack This Saturday
Hey guys,
This saturday April 24th at the Monticello Motor Club Racetrack, they will be having an open track day to the public. This is a great way to go and check the track out in person to see if it would be worth it to track your own car.
My brother and some of my other buddies are tracking thier cars and I will be bringing my car to watch. Just wondering if any of you guys would like to join.
Track is 4.1 miles long with 22 turns and 450 feet of elevation change and is located 90 miles outside of Manhattan.
67 Cantrell Road
Monticello, NY 12701
I will be leaving from Morristown, NJ around 8:30am on Saturday and wanted to see if anyone is up for joining me. BTW, I heard there are some fun backroads leading up to the track

I've driven it during a membership recruitment event.... Definitly a fun track I was able to hit 145 on back straight before I had to break for the chicane, I really need to start tracking my car
Here is a video I took while being a passenger in the owners Ferrari
enjoy

I'm gonna be out of town in Vegas this weekend for my bday with some of the other guys. But this is DEF a good chance for some of you guys to track on a course that is closed to the public and a private club. Have fun fellas! Membership at this track/club is like 50-70g's if i remember correctly.

Not sure if they dropped the fee but when I was there it was 125k and going up, thats before the economy tanked but many members had already paid the 125k so I'm not sure....
this track isn't so private like it was suppose to be, at first they said it was for cars only but now they are renting one of the sections out to Motorcycle trackday organizations, like ABSOLUTE/TONY/NESBA, but the other half is available for its members while those events are run...
i wish I could make this weekends event but it being a Saturday its very very hard to get away plus open to the public doesn't mean you have unlimited track use...there might be too many people attending, I'd rather pay and get my 5-7 seasons of 20-30min

Just to be clear guys I am going to SPECTATE meaning watch/have a beer/hit on girls NOT track my car. I am sure registration is closed by now, but IIRC is was around $300 for the day.
So on that who wants to come WATCH this and hang out??"Driven with seriousness, however, the Rx-7 managed 1.035g, the highest reading of the contest, and the highest we have ever recorded without R-compound tires." -Sport Compact Car 2001
