Kevin, I really appreciate your response, openness to critique, and caring for what I thought about the event. I want you to know that I still had a blast on the run and I also am looking forward to the next years event!

Ryan,
I'm glad you had blast and look forward to seeing you again next year. I really do care what everyone thinks. I know I didn't see, hear or experience everything everyone else did. If no one tells me about what they didn't like, I can't change it.
Not only is the event for a good cause, I feel it is tied to my reputation and my family. I don't want people thinking negatively about me or my family. I've been contacted by people in other states, who want to organize Katy's Runs. I want everyone to know the name and look forward to participating every year.
Again, if anyone else has anything to say, I'd love to hear it.
Kevin

I was there and it was a great event.
Sure, the route got FUBAR, but THAT'S part of the experience. How many runs do you go on that are completely uneventful?? Probably more than you can remember, and the reason you don't remember them is because they WERE just that - uneventful! But this one will stick out because it was certainly unique!!
Between the president, the bike race, and all the detours, it had become a challenge; maybe even a 'quest' to get to the restaurant! I thought it was great.
And of course it was for a great cause.
Someone even got a pic of me arguing with the park ranger over some 'minor violations'. He was pissed!!
