Thread: Golf?

Who here Golfs? I've never played but I want to start, everyone tells me to take lessons & not to try to learn on my own so I don't develop bad habits. Any instructors here or know of any?

Where in NJ are you? The guy who taught me is right across the Tappan Zee bridge in Westchester. One of the best pro's out there. Happy to hook you up with him

Definitely pass it along...I'm willing to travel and I work in Westchester so even better for me if thats were he's located

Both Bobby Heins (head pro) and Patrick Eggling (assistant pro) have taught me since I was 6 or 7 years old. They are both at Old Oaks COuntry Club. Even though it's a private club, the pro's do give lessons to non-members. I gave up my membership this year as I don't spend as much time back East anymore, but I have to say there's no more beautiful course in Westchester, and our range is killer!!!

Secondarily Bobby's son is one of my best friends and he teaches right in Greenwich. I know his rates will be much better and again I'd be happy to hook you up with him.

I just started playing golf last year and did take lessons (helps a ton). But I definitely need a refresher and would possibly down for doing the group lessons.

lets get a group together...we can even make a run out of getting to the golf course

I've been golfing for quite a few years now, but haven't picked up a club in about 6 months or so, I'll be getting back into it very soon. My lessons for the past few years have been with Walt Baker at the Willowbrook Golf Center in Wayne; he's the head PGA golf professional there, and the man when it comes to correcting minor flaws that impact your swing dramatically.
