Big Props to James, Chris and the whole Mobile Addictions Crew
Right off the bat I have to apologize for lack of pics...by the time I got back to Brooklyn it was dark. I'll get some proper ones up in the next day or two (James if you want to throw the ones you have up go ahead until I get some nice shots up).
I wanted to let you all know what a great job Mobile Addictions did on my M. Most of you know that someone tried to break into it last year, and then I went on the cheap to fix it. When all was said and done, I had about the most obvious mismatch paint job on the driver's side, something I put up with for way to long.
In addition to doing top notch paint work (something seemingly simple, but EXTREMELY difficult when trying to color match and blend out a white european car) they did a number of installs, one of which required them going to my mother's house and digging my stock midpipes out of a real pain-in-the-ass storage area beneath my house (I need them back on until after I get it inspected).
I also changed my mind about half a dozen times as to what I wanted. Originally I planned on selling it, so I wanted them to repaint it and then go bumper to bumper making her brand new again. Right before I dropped it off though I decided I was going to keep it and as such needed them to hold onto the car a few extra days so that a bunch of parts could come in. No problem at all they told me! And this morning right before picking it up I decided that I wanted my taillights tinted. Again, no problem at all! In fact James later told me he was looking at the car yesterday and started thinking "Ryan should really smoke these taillights out before he takes the car back" - as such they were ready to bang it to make sure the car was still good to go today.
Picked the car up today and in addition to all the work I noticed it was pristine, a far cry from how I brought it in. In fact I felt terrible as I dropped it off looking like absolute crap - literally caked on mud and salt spray all over it from driving it during one of the snowstorms and then forgetting it in the garage for a few weeks. When I drove off with her today she had been thoroughly cleaned and even POLISHED - seriously Chris did a mini-detail on her to include removing all the catless exhaust stain gunk and painting it over to make sure it looked brand new again.
So thanks again fellas. Superb job, great attention to detail, and a GREAT price - to be honest I thought I was going to take a hit since much of their work is on super-exotics and custom installs of top end audio, but I was willing to pay the premium for their top service. However the price was beyond fair, and if you include the extra things they did to go above and beyond what was called for it was downright inexpensive!
These guys are just another reason it sucks to leave here, however I will eventually be back, especially with all my family on SI, and I really look forward to getting some more work done by this crew (hopefully next time it will be on something Italian though!)
Great pics to come...'09 E93 M3 - Dropped with RPI Full GT Race
