Thread: October 30th meet English Town Raceway

Guys as you know there has been some trouble with the airport event. Don't really want to get into details but I will say they have not been easy to deal with to say the least. I have decided since we already have a group of people who are into the event on the 30th I would like to do something that will be enjoyable for all of us. I have decided to switch the venue from the Airport to English town Raceway!! We have the track from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm to rip up as much as we want. You can arrive and drive at anytime during the day. Nothing else is changing and I apologize for the switch but it was unavoidable for me. So now we have time slips and a prepped racetrack for the day!! It's going to be the 1st L4P track event in the North East. It's all getting filmed for DVD and the models will be there as well. It's going to be a crazy time. For those who are already registered you don't need to do anything but if you are interested in registering shoot me a pm and I'll set you up. I'm stoked for this, can't wait for the 30th to get here. Any questions guys feel free to post up.

price is still the same i presume?any idea on the amount of runs?

We have the track for a total of 8 hours so a bunch of runs for everyone!!!

Great move Greg. It should be a great time for all.

i've been to e-town rentals many times and with 30-40 cars there is gonna be times where the track will be empty! it's a lot of time and not a lot of cars. this is the best way to get your skills up! i am super stoked for this event now, especially with timing slips now.

Thanks for the werdz guys I'm feeling great about this event and I know it's gonna be a BLAST!! I can't wait to see what my car will run or any of the cars for that matter!

Hey guys anyone with a helmet please bring it you will need it, and if you don't mind maybe lending it to someone who may not have one. They do sell and rent helmets there if you don't have one.

motorcycle helmets work as well. but have to be DOT and oldest of Snell 2000 approved. also if you have aftermarket FI (turbo, supercharger or nitrous) you NEED a fire jacket with the rating of SFI 3.2A/1 can be found for about $60 at summitracing.com or jegs.com. i only say this so you guys can come prepared!

Awsome Greg!! This will be an equally fun event, if not more fun Safety wise, its a no brainier..and we now have go-lights (maybe we can have a model just stand in the middle of the 2 cars, so we still get the view)

Drew, you know any cheap helmet sites, that meet the requirements and could be used for track days also?
