Lost Tapes was good too, although I prefer this version of "Purple," sick beat.

And The Firm? Nas & AZ - i lament that AZ has always had *terrible* sappy production; he is one of the greats that has never lived up to his potential, mostly due to horrible music. The Firm (generally) solves that problem. I agree Cormega would have been an asset but i do feel Nature holds his own.

+1. Illmatic and The Score are easily the best two hip hop albums ever. Premier is at his finest on that. I'm not a big fan of Untitled though. At least not compared to Illmatic or The Lost Tapes.

I haven't listened to his new album in its entirety, but from what I've heard, I like it.

One that I like a lot from his latest album, 'You Can't Stop Us Now':

    And, a classic, IMO:

Edit: What am I doing wrong?

i remembered this "freestyle" (don't believe it) diss on the entire Roc camp when the Nas/Jay Z beef was going on. i think this is actually better than his later Ether response - all to that classic beat:

and Thief's Theme is definitely one of the illest rap songs of all time - amazing sample and Nas is on top of his game:
