Jimmy Burns is pretty good! The band has a nice blend of Chicago-style blues and some Delta blues undertones...
Buddy Guy more or less bridged that Delta style to Chicago style, and came out the other end with a great rock-n-roll feel...Guys like Clapton, Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughan(whom I've hijacked this post enough about, sorry), Hendrix, Jeff Beck and many others all were inspired by Guy. He's unreal to listen to... just all over the place! Incredible performer.

Don't worry about hijacking the post let's turn this in to a conversation about the blues, I'm some what new to the blues and now I can't get enough. Speaking of Clapton I think it was so cool to here Guy talking about all the guys your talking about and how they all draw and feed off each other. So thank PCK, for all your input.

My pleasure... I love to talk, and when it's blues for a topic, well, even more so.
Always had a thing for Albert King, as well... If you're into serious riffs and a killer "guitar face", Albert's the man! (if you're going to dive right in on this guy, grab copy of Thursday Night in San Francisco, Live, or King of the Blues Guitar. Albert was incredible, and it's funny to imagine anyone cranking out such killer blues sounds on a flying-V guitar!
(If you like this guy, grab Albert King: The Ultimate Collection --- a Rhino 2-CD set from around '95 or so. Lives up to its name.)
There's an in-sessions album with King and Stevie Ray Vaughan, as well. Amazing. My first introduction to blues music was listening to Albert King, and he remains a favorite of mine.
