    Default My Ducati 996S

This is my first post on here so I thought I'd introduce one of my bikes. It's a Ducati 996S that's been dyno tuned to 156 HP and weighs just under 400 lbs dry. Sorry for the poor photo. Joined the website because it seems that there is a lot of great people here who share very similar interest with me, I'm a huge car/bike fan.

Very nice! I'm a big fan of Ducati's, how does it compare to your other bikes (you mentioned the 996 was just one of them)? I'm thinking that I may trade up to a Ducati, MV, or go a completely different route with a BMW, but I'm not sure yet. I have a "problem" with wanting to push vehicles pretty hard, and I usually solve that by going to the track, but with my current streetfighter it doesn't feel like it'd be worth it or even necessarily fun.

Great bike, what do you have done to the motor?

My little '02 748 has been sitting in the garage for over a year and I probably won't get it out until 2013 (back to college & wedding this year). By then it will need a complete going through (already has 28,000 kick ass miles on it), so I am contemplating doing a refresh & bore out or just grab a 99X engine. I've got a chip and a Sil-Motor 45-54mm carbon fiber half system on it.

The bike is just to classic not to love.

Case, compared to my Multistrada it's an absolute animal. The thing just seems to keep going and going. If you want something that will keep up with you this bike definitely will.

Capt, i know the engine has been remapped with a chip, sorry i'm not to familiar with all of the technical aspects. The 748's are great bikes i'd love to get my hands on the special edition 748 if i could find one (the black and red one)

here's a pic of my multistrada (although right now it has black rims on it, in the process of getting new tires so i put the stock ones on for now)
