L4P.TV | Session 8: Ack-Attack In Pursuit of Speed, 394mph on 2 wheels.
In a small office in the heart of Silicon Valley, Luxury4Play had the opportunity to sit down with Brian Lecky today and discuss one of his latest projects a 3 minute trailer for one hour documentary film currently on Discovery HD Theatre in the USA and on Discovery Channel networks around the world. This film follows the Ack-Attack team in their pursuit of the international motorcycle land speed record on the Bonneville Salt Flats.
With exclusive access to the 2010 Landspeed shootout event on the Bonneville Salt Flats, multiple HD crews followed the team as they strove to overcome numerous setbacks over 6 tumultuous days and nights.
On the very last hour of the last day that the salt was available, Rocky Robinson pushed his 2-wheeled machine faster than anyone has ever driven, a historic record-shattering average speed of 376mph, and a peak speed of 394mph.
This film created by Brian takes you inside the Ack--Attack team - witness how exactly they achieved their goal of making Rocky Robinson the fastest man on 2 wheels.
Here is also a little more in Brian. Brian began his career at the BBC and worked on a wide variety of productions, from huge live outside broadcasts to music documentaries. After going freelance he worked as a director for several UK indies, including Pioneer Productions and RDF. In 2004 he immigrated to the US and worked for JWM, Half Yard, and Beyond Productions, producing and directing shows for Discovery, History and National Geographic, including Digging for the Truth, Weapon Masters and Mythbusters.
