Isle of Man TT has started!
The 2011 Isle of Man has got underway with the first practise session tonight.
For those of you who don't who what the TT is:
)
UPDATE #1
John McGuinness set the fastest lap time with an average speed of 122.838mph, just under 10mph slower than the lap record.
The session was ended early due to rain/hail.
A few pics (not the best due to poor light):

Local lad, Connor Cummins

and a few sidecars

UPDATE #2
Practice Session 2
Unfortunately I have to start this update with tragic news that the sidecar riders Bill Currie, 67, and his passenger Kevin Morgan, 59, died during the qualifying session following an incident at Ballacrye, our thoughts and prayers are with their families
Before the session was red flagged john McGuinness set the fastest lap time with an average speed of 129.041mph
A few pics:

UPDATE #3
Kiwi Bruce Anstey, riding for the Yorkshire based Padgetts Honda Racing team, showed his hand with the fastest time of the week in the third qualifying session at the 2011 Isle of Man TT Races with a lap of 129.695mph, his best ever lap around the Mountain Course.
Keith Amor fell off at Quarterbridge on his Superstock bike, and was later reported to have a dislocated shoulder, whilst McGuinness stopped at the Mountain Box with Lougher another high profile rider in trouble, this time retiring at Creg ny Baa.
At 8pm, the sidecar session commenced with Klaus Klaffenbock and Daniel Sayle leading the field away from John Holden/Andy Winkle, Tim Reeves/Gregory Cluze and Conrad Harrison/Mike Aylott.
Klaffenbock’s was fastest with a time of 113.754mph.
This will probably be my last update as I have exams next week to study for. The Isle of Man is probably the only place in the world where you sit your exams 100 metres (literally) away from a race track with unsilenced superbikes going past
My father will still be going to watch though so I'll upload some of his pics.
I'll post some pics as a response as I've reached my limit on this post, so SCROLL DOWN VVVVVVVV
